God knows what we need when He encourages us to fellowship. Other writers, agents, editors, and publishers gathering can inspire and entertain! The conference was good.

I was born and raised catholic tho I do not practice tho I do have God with me in my everyday life. Lent does lead up to Easter and as your cousin I wanted to share with you and whomever reads this the poem I wrote about Easter. You may get the isea as I did to make copies of it for future reference to remind yourself that you one of God's impotant children as I believe we all are. Enjoy and I hope you don't mind me writing this here. I love you Johnna, and care for you immensly ! Lovingly, Janet
You have my permission to share this with whomever you wish !!

Jesus' Walk-Our Gift

I watched him as he walked the path,
As he moved without rod or staff.
I saw him grow weary of the walk,
But no one spoke,no one would talk.
I watched him carry that cross for me,
Over the hills of Galilee.
On over the desert sands so hot,
Through hills and vallies he did not stop.
He carried that ole' cross for me,
And he carried it for you , can't you see?
He carried it through old town Israel,
And now was feeling more miserable.
He never griped,and never complained,
And knew that now all things would change.
He carried it over where it first began,
Where he was born in Bethlehem.
He spoke to all who knew he had been,
Ready to hang, to die for our sins.
He spoke those who would not believe,
And explained to them that they would see.
On the cross he was hung near where he was born,
As he wore that crown of prickly thorn.
Out stretched were his arms to show to us,
How much in him we can always trust.
He is with us but is out of sight,
He is with us through life's trying plight.
At last we can live to be in peace,
For our pain has been released.
His death was not end of the story,
But merely a step to give glory,
To the Father and the holy spirit,
It is ours if we choose to endear it.
For we are now a part of this spirit.
This wonder of living power,
Makes the cross a magnificent tower.
And if death is the worst of pain,
We have new thoughts to entertain.
For our daily hurt can not compare,
To the pain our Lord chose to bear.
Now we can rise above and live again.
In this we use the glorious connection,
Of the spirit of our Lords ressurection.

Great blog, Johnna. I have a hard time (especially the first couple of critiques I get on a new chapter) not taking critiques to heart. It always helps that my critiquers are trying to encourage me as well. And when I have a little space, it gets better.

I often wonder if I'm the right person to be writing the message I feel like I've been given, and I have squared with the fact that I may never end up getting published. But even the opportunity to be obedient, and to get a little better at a craft I enjoy, I think will be good for me.

Of course, I only think that on my good days. :-) On my bad days, I want to quit. But there are more good days than bad. :-) Thanks for the blog post!

I am also your cousin whom was called at age 12 to write my aspiritions as a christian writer and just remembered that there are many more mason jars we can find, and that all of them were made from the sands on a beach. Somewhere. Isn't life grand? God is so good to me !! I love sharing that !! And don't forget, when you overfill the jar make sure you simply "LET GO AND LET GOD" !! Not all natural things were made in a day, just thank our Lord for each day we get and try our best as he would have wanted us to ! Loving you, Janet

I'm glad someone can keep to a plan! I can't seem to stay on schedule for anything. I have to work on that (and I am).

Good luck with the work and ultimately publishing!
